Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

Canadian Thanksgiving is almost here! That means pumpkins are in season, it’s sweater weather and time to curl up with a hot drink on cool mornings.

A fellow dietitian and friend of mine sent me this lovely recipe for a homemade pumpkin spice latte. Simple, easy, delicious and fast. You can have a Starbucks worthy beverage in the comfort of your own kitchen without any risk for cross contamination….and at a fraction of the cost too.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients

2 tbsp pumpkin purée
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 -1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Espresso

Steamed Milk

Directions

Blend together pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla in a small bowl.

Steam milk and stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of the pumpkin mixture.

Add espresso and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Enjoy!
