Looking for a quick and easy gluten free recipe for Valentine’s Day? Look no further! And it doesn’t get any easier than this…only two ingredients.
Having a gluten intolerance shouldn’t mean skipping out on treats during this fun, love filled day. This is an easy recipe to make with the kids, they will love dipping the strawberries and making them into hearts.
Strawberries, ones that are narrow on the bottom and big on top (typical shape)
Semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 1/2 cup for about 6 hearts)
Garnish – such as white chocolate or coconut
1. Cut strawberry in half length-wise and place flat-side down side by side with each other. I cut away a sliver on the inside edges to make it fit snugly against each other. Poke a tooth pick through if you like or just leave them like that.
2. Heat chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove above hot water until melted.
3. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
4. Place the strawberry hearts on the baking sheet. Pour chocolate over the strawberries and let it harden in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
